Collection accessory for liquid fecal samples for use with the OMNIgene•GUT

It is challenging for donors with severe diarrhea to self-collect stool/feces samples which can lead to reduced sample return rates and study representation for donors with this stool/feces form. To address this challenge, DNA Genotek developed, in partnership with Crohn's and Colitis Canada, the OM-AC2 spoon accessory for liquid fecal (Bristol type 7) sample collection for use with OMNIgene•GUT. Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) patients rated it as a simple and intuitive collection method. When combined with OMNIgene•GUT, the OM-AC2 provides donors with severe diarrhea an easy-to-use collection method and provides researchers who study these populations the same high quality samples they expect from OMNIgene•GUT.
