Genetic testing fraud alert
DNA Genotek has become aware that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, has issued a fraud alert involving a genetic testing scheme. Scammers are offering free genetic testing to Medicare beneficiaries to obtain their Medicare information for identity theft or fraudulent billing purposes.
DNA Genotek is not associated with these fraud schemes and we will never ask for your private information.
If a genetic testing kit is offered to you, don't accept it unless it was ordered by you or your physician. Be suspicious of anyone who offers you free genetic testing or requests your Medicare number. For more information, the full HHS warning is available here.
